Description

These 2 nebulae are on the opposite side of Deneb from the much more famous North America and Pelican nebulae. As such, they are often overlooked in favor of their brighter neighbors.

The small round Sh2-116 is a "fake planetary", it was first catalogued as a planetary nebula but was later revealed to be an HII region like Sh2-115.
